The clock features original ormolu … more For sale is a fine quality Victorian ebonised bracket clock by Barraud & Lunds, London. The clock features original ormolu finials and mounts throughout, having gilt spandrels, an engraved silvered dial with Roman numerals, original hands and classical gilded corbels and gilt ormolu feet. The clock face is signed Barraud & Lund, London 5725. The clock facer is flanked by two gilt caryatids. The clock also retains its original gilded side frets The clock runs on a chain driven triple fusee movement with 8 bells, enclosed by a double locking door. The clock comes complete with its original winding key and is in full working order. Barraud & Lunds: The company was founded by the eminent chronometer maker Paul Philip Barraud at Cornhill, London C.1795. They changed their name to Barraud & Lunds in 1838 when John Richard Lund became a partner, and the company finally closed in 1929.
