John Kelly was born in Scotland 1939 and he moved to the USA.
He studied at Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles, California.
He mostly made lithographs. He Printed at the Prestigious Ettinger Atelier in NY.
John Kelly was a brilliant printer. The paper is in perfect, near to it's original white color (rare). Never saw sunlight.
First Print; "San Fransico Morning" signed in the lower right, titled in lower center, number 145/200 and Blind Stamped in lower left.
It is a Visual of the morning Street Car going up the Street Rails (rare image) with Pepsi Advertising on the back right door. It gives the viewer a look of the Townhouses and Cars. The best is the Electrical System of leaning poles and wiring going to the townhouses as you look up the street. Perfect condition. Double matted, Frame and Glass.
Second Print; "Under the Golden Gate" Signed in the lower right, titled in the lower center, number 45/200 and Blind Stamped in the lower left. Kelly's perspective is interesting in the way he stands back on lowered ground.
His detailing is very intricate with the electric poles and wiring and the lines of bridge's cables. The print has a tear that is under the mat. There is a photo of it.
Both Prints or Image Size Measure 13.5" tall x 11.5" wide.
Have double black mat boards.
The Black Frame is 22" tall x 18" wide x 1" deep. less
