Exceptional Oak and (Pollard Oak or Burl Walnut) Butler’s Server Cabinet in the Aesthetic style with many classical design elements.
Made by Gillow & Company of Lancaster in 1882, based on the serial number (the extensive archives of Gillow & Co. are on file at Westminster Library). A pair of drawers fitted with Bramah locks (which were the finest, touted to be unpickable) and incredible fluted pulls with pineapple finials, over a shelf, with a pair of doors below (the right side opening to reveal a Cellarette drawer), Crested with the “W” monogram for the family it was made for.
This would make a great bar!
