We are delighted to offer for sale this stunning oversize Mid-Century Modern Mexican onyx rectangular dining or conference table by ARTURO PANI FOR MULLER OF MEXICO. Signed. Incredible patchwork onyx top with a lacquer finish. Large table top rests of two stone base pieces. The piece was manufactured in the 1960's and is all hand crafted. The Onyx has a resin coating that gives the piece a very deep shine and protects it from elements.
The colors are wonderful!

About Arturo Pani
Arturo Pani (1915-1981) was a prominent Mexican furniture and decorative arts designer. He was born on November 16, 1915, in Mexico City, Mexico. Pani is widely recognized for his significant contributions to the mid-century modern movement in Mexico.
After completing his studies in architecture at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), Pani embarked on a successful career as an architect. However, his passion for design and craftsmanship led him to delve into the world of furniture and decorative arts.
In the 1940s, Pani established his own design studio, which quickly gained recognition for its innovative and elegant creations. Drawing inspiration from Mexican traditions and combining them with modern aesthetics, Pani's designs showcased a unique blend of functionality and artistic expression.
Pani's furniture designs were characterized by clean lines, sleek forms, and the use of high-quality materials such as exotic woods, metals, and luxurious fabrics. His pieces exuded a sense of sophistication and timeless elegance. He was particularly renowned for his exquisite chairs, tables, cabinets, and lighting fixtures, which became highly sought after by collectors and design enthusiasts.
