The head lifts off to store laundry, blankets, treasures, magazines, or your favorite things. Exquisite design piece to bring authentic texture to any setting. In the style of Mario Lopez Torres, who passed in 2020. A very talented creator, Mario Lopez Torres designed many pieces that were his favorite animals done in a functional way (furniture, organizational help, design). From harvesting reeds from the bed of the river to detail finishing every step was done locally in Mexico. Workforce were local weavers. In 1973 he set up his first sales location and began selling to Palm Beach stores where his pieces were an instant sensation. His family and workers carry on his work now.
