This very petite miniature carriage clock was made by Mathew Norman of
Switzerland and retains the original key.
Features include a miniature brass Corniche case with rectangular
top and folding handle over four beveled glass sides held
by plain chamfered columns and hinged rear door. The
whole is on a plain straight base with bracket feet.
The dial is rectangular white enamel with black Roman
numerals with blued steel moon hands.
The movement is spring driven timepiece movement with lever
platform escapement.
The dial is signed: SWISS MADE DORFMAN BOSTON (Boston's finest jewelry shop at the time.)
Backplate signed: M. Norman 1342 Seventeen Jewels
