The 412 was designed in 1934 for his own company Gispen. That was the same year as the moved out of rotterdam to there new factory location in Culemborg.

The chair that we offer is quite special. Its a original frame made by the gispen company in the 50s and far more stronger then a remake. It also special because the quilted back and the lose seating cushion. This model was only made in the period 1949 till 1958.

This chair is byfare one of my favorite items in our collection.

The chair has been reupholsterd with an wool Kvadrat Tonica in dark Blue.

The dimensions are: Width 61 cm - Height 87 cm - Dept 77 cm - Seating height 44 cm - Seating dept 50 cm This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
