A Flemish tapestry panel from the 17th century, featuring a design of scrolling flowerheads and rosettes, with ribbon-ties and French fleur-de-lys motifs in the upper corners, and portraits within heart-shaped lozenges surrounded by floral and grotesque elements below. The portraits seem to identify the noble pair for whom this singular tapestry was woven. Wool with silk inlay. Measures: 6’9” H x 2’9” W.
Hanging: The tapestry comes ready for hanging, with linen backing and a strip of hook and loop tape at the top end, which can be connected to the opposite side of the supplied hook and loop tape, which could be tacked to your wall. For those who prefer the use of a tapestry rod, we can add the appropriate size loops to accommodate your needs. less
