- A blast from the past! These two rows of mid-century (mercury?) glass ornaments are beautifully stored in their original Shiny … more A blast from the past! These two rows of mid-century (mercury?) glass ornaments are beautifully stored in their original Shiny Brite 1950s era ornament boxes, one of which is in good condition with only minor detaching, the other of which has a corner torn off and has been made sturdy again with clear modern packing tape (please see images for details). The ornaments are a mixture of original striped, frosted, and indented Shiny Brite glass bulbs. This set includes two lime green/pink silver striped balls, three red 'Merry Christmas' balls, three blue 'Silent Night' balls, one pink silver striped ball, and one pink indented ball. All show signs of wear, galvanization to the metal tips and hooks, sun bleaching, chipping, and one of the pink striped balls has some overall rusting/discoloration (see second to last image). Perfect for rustic decorating, mid century decor, or to complete your retro Christmas tree! A lovely stocking stuffer for the kitsch collector in your life ;) The bulbs are all free of chips and cracks but also all show obvious signs of wear such as pain peeling, scuffing, scratching, and tarnishing. They display quite well and look lovely as a group. less
