The cabinet features a wonderful serpentine-inspired shape that is modern and elegant. The two touch-open front doors mimic the shape of the top. The outside of the cabinet is lacquered in ivory polyurethane lacquer over MDF (you can get this info on the design website). Each door has piano hinges that extend from the top to the bottom of the doors. The legs are slightly curved and painted in a glossy black. I love the surprise of the interior - which is rich, walnut wood. There are two adjustable, sturdy wood shelves.
