Original lithograph by famous French master printer, lithographer Charles Sorlier of Marc Chagall’s “Magic Flute” poster that was also famously used for Mozart concert at Metropolitan Opera, NY.
Charles Sorlier worked exclusively with few artists of the 20th century, including Marc Chagall for whom he printed more than 1,000 lithographs over a period of 25 years. Sorlier’s work with Chagall was instrumental in pushing the boundaries of lithography as a medium, experimenting with new techniques and colors to create vivid, expressive prints. Art piece is enclosed golden frame with paper screen on the back and hanging wire attached.
