Beautiful and unique, vintage Murano hand blown Italian art glass dancing ballerina sculpture with harlequin mask, hat and Zanfirico ribbons skirt. Documented to the Salviati company, marked with an original "Salviati & Co. - Venice - Made In Italy" label. Very rare to see a female harlequin figure. She has a white hat, collar and belt with gold leaf on the surface. Her hair also has gold fleck. The piece stands on a scalloped base, and has a gold leaf attached to the back of her legs. I have added a photo on a black background so you can better see how the copper aventurine flecks shimmer on her skirt. Would make a great display piece on any vanity, credenza or side table. Mid-century era. Collectors item. Measures 12" tall x 5" long x 4" wide.
