This spectacular chair is attributed to Thomas Brooks. This high backed magnificent chair is hand carved rosewood with clusters of grapes, leaves and vines. The stiles and front legs are turned. Has a serpentine apron. Is a c1850, antique Victorian chair. In very good condition in need of reupholstering. There is a small, older back leg repair (see photo). The wood has an 8” hairline age split center back. Is very sturdy. Weighs 25lbs.
