Hand Knotted in wool, this vintage 9x14 Turkish Oushak rug features prominent medallions and geometric patterns on a beige-brown and red field.
On the Design:
Connoisseurs will admire this personal vintage piece meant to catch the eye, yet still so atypical in its color and design choices that are so complementary to each other making it a comfortable, and inviting piece. It is a very special design, also a signature piece (where the weaver has included both “1989” and Turkish word “Celal” in the lower field—the latter of which translates to “majesty” as it’s descended from the Arabic “Jalal”). Featuring beige-brown borders and a red field underscore floral scrolls and geometric medallions alike, in warm colors with a rustic, old-world charm and use of both feminine and masculine design elements that makes many Oushaks (even this younger vintage piece) so special.

This vintage Turkish Oushak rug further enjoys good condition for its age and origin, and is ready for the floor. less
