Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that these are vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear even if it has been refinished or restored. Specifically, they have been restored, given a fresh coat of shellac, and the wicker has been repaired in a couple of spots by our experienced staff. Shorty got low…low…low…low…low! Ha! Gotcha singing?? Well, you should be!!! Because this pair of Rattan & wicker low lounge chairs is something to SING ABOUT!!! They are comprised of marvelous low Rattan frames bearing stunning front cross stretchers and a rounded bent Rattan back support with a horizontal stretcher which not only assists in sturdiness, but also is a lovely, stylish detail!! All the joints and connections are Rattan wrapped and they feature wonderful wide wicker seats and backs! I mean… GORGEOUS!!! They are identified on the world wide web with a few different names such as “Legless Lounge Chairs” or the Japanese Zaisu, pronounced “Za-Isu,” or simply a low lounge beach style chair… and they are all correct! The traditional Zaisu chairs were often found under heated kotatsu tables for a form of relaxation or simply as seating at a low dining table. This incredible pair is in the style of Calif-Asia; however, ours do not fold. They are Coastal or Island in style with a Tropical, and Organic Modern flair and they would be INCREDIBLE seating on the Lanai, sunroom, or covered porch, in your living room upon a marvelous rug, or facing a low table by your Tiki bar!!
