Magnificent detail in this 19th century mahogany mirror. Ogee mirrors, a double curve, concave on top and convex on the bottom, were produced throughout the Eastern USA and Canada circa 1815-1850 and as late as 1860 by rural cabinetmakers.
This mirror, with a mahogany veneer, retains its original backing and original glass. It measures 27 1/4" x 37" x 1 3/4”.
