This mid 20th-century (1950s) beauty has a square needlepoint upholstered seat that rests gracefully on svelte cabriole legs. The all-around scalloped apron adds a demure elegant look making it a fabulous seating option that will complement any design scheme. This beauty’s frame is made from a hardwood which we believe to be walnut wood with a mid-tone coffee hued stain and lacquer finish. The comfortable seat is covered in a linen colored textile that we believe to be a wool-blend. The needlepoint diamond design consists of flowers and vines in varying shades of yellow, red and pink (carnation blush, scarlet), sky blue, leaf green and brown. It measures 18” x 14½” x 14½” H/W/D overall; seat only 13¾” x 13¾” W/D; weight 8 lbs. In excellent condition with minimal age-appropriate wear. There is a faint area on the inner upper part of one leg where the lacquer finish has faded. It is indiscernible and difficult to see (photos 2 & 8) and does not affect its beauty or utility. Maker is unknown. With all that said, this beauty will look add an element of elegant charm wherever placed!
