From the famous series "53 Stations of Tokaido". Original woodblocks printed on hand-made (laid) washi paper and presented under glass in black lacquer faux-bamboo frames. Both the prints depict everyday activities in rural Japan, by the sea and under Mount Fuji.
Each with columns of text and seals within the print.
Mid 20th Century.
Condition is very good with minor wear to traditional black frame surfaces.
