High-style housing with no liner for actual coal chunks. Art Nouveau period case for the complete fireplace dressing. The case is well built and in good condition. At some point, the bin was discontinued use and a new bottom was added to the bin ledges inside., ( see detailed photos of interior). This beautiful case then became a fireplace accessory for bagged charcoal or dura-log materials. The case has long double art nouveau hinges and top handle with a metal band on the reveres to hold a scoop which is no longer a needed tool. The size is 13.5" tall by 14" wide, and 15" deep less
