Beautiful diminuitive weaving of Navajo origin or in traditional Navajo style. The mat size weaving shows slight irregularity in the edges, showing it was hand loomed.
The yarn is coarse and textured, with a light feel of possibly lanolin, suggesting yarn straight from sheep wool.
The gray color base has hints of rose pink, aqua that are almost invisible without close examination. The stripe and Navajo pattern designs are in black, cream and aqua or teal.
The seller is not an expert in Navajo weaving, but the piece was acquired from someone with several Navajo weavings that vouched for its authenticity.
