If you know or have heard of Herend, there is nothing much to write except that this is a rare find. Yes, there are some plates in the pattern offered by different sites, but what I am offering is hard to come by. I have not managed to find anywhere these soup cups with these matching saucers.
They are extremely rare. So here is your chance to own one soup cup with a saucer from this lovely collection.
They were kept in a glass cabinet in the living room at home and only used on rare special occasions. ( and not all of them!)
Herend Fruits & Flowers pattern was first introduced in the 1860s with its beautiful compositions of hand-painted fruits and flowers. The Imperial Court of Russia ordered a set after its display at the World Exhibition of 1900.
The height of the soup cup is 3.35" and the width is 5.12" with the handle being 6.54" if we were to make that a length.
