Vintage Cemar strawberry shaped salad plates. Set includes 12 plates. Marked "Cemar" and "773". These are rare items and especially difficult to find as a set.
Cemar Clay Products was founded Los Angeles, California by former Bauer Pottery employees Cliff J. Malone and Paul Cauldwell. The pottery operated between 1935 and 1955. Cemar's products included giftware, tableware, and garden pottery. Many of the designs, including the vegetable and fruit designs, were created by potter Fred Kaye. Cemar was bought by Bauer Pottery in the mid-1950s and Bauer reused a number of the molds formerly used by Cemar. less
