Industrial bar stools by Friso Kramer and Wim Rietveld for Ahrend De Cirkel in the 1960s. These originally architect’s chairs have a metal base and a wooden seat and back (made of birch plywood). The seat is adjustable in height by means of a rotary knob and the backrest is also adjustable. They were originally designed as a drawing table chair or work chair hence they are a bit higher than normal chairs and also have an adjustable footrest (grey ring), which is why they are also often used as bar stools nowadays. Each chair is marked with: Ahrend the Circle. The condition is still good; very sturdy and solid with normal wear from use. Material: metal, chromed metal and birch plywood. Dimensions: h x w x d = 109 x 49.5 x 49 cm. The seat height is adjustable from 56.5 to 71.5 cm and the seat width is 39 cm I have official proof of authenticity such as vintage catalogs,
