If you're looking for a gorgeous, unique piece to add some drama and visual interest to a space ... well, this horse is everything.
Standing about 42" tall, 40" wide and 12" deep, this vintage hand-carved and painted Chinese horse is an eye-catcher. Mid-century Tang-style horse is bold and beautiful in hues of gold, burgundy and forest green. The horse itself is gold finished with gorgeous patina, which lends a feel of antiquity. The paint on the saddle, blanket, bridle and ornamentation also shows patina but is still mostly intact and visible. There are a few light cracks on the horse from age (as pictured) and it looks like his lifted leg was repaired at some point (also pictured). This is accounted for in the price.
This piece is somewhat rare (I've come across smaller versions but none this size) and the perfect addition anywhere you want to add some serious pizzazz. Pairs well with overstuffed leather chairs, a vintage Asian rug and a fern or two. Let this stunning vintage horse do all the design work for you. less
