A small painting with large impact.
Wellon Bridgers calls these “landstracts” (abstract landscapes). This is an unusually small piece on heavy cotton paper. This work features a large creek on her property. Highly textural and a terrific blend of black, greens, and blues. Smoky. Signed on recto.
Matted in a teal suede under art gallery acrylic and framed in an antique painted and patinated swan back solid wood French frame with silver undertones. The frame is its own piece of art.
The effect is of magical realism. Ready to hang.
