They appear to have been … Read more These charming ceramic figurines depict a boy and a girl, possibly a brother and sister. They appear to have been out in the woods or a field. They are so lifelike that I can imagine that the little girl has been out collecting wild flowers and has filled her basket. And the little boy is carrying his shoes, exposing socks with holes in them. He may have decided to walk through a creek or puddle.

Both figurines are marked Hungary on the bottom. Although the artist is not identified, these look identical to figurines made by Maria Rahmer. I don’t know the exact age of the pieces, however similar pieces were produced in the 1930s.

Each one is approximately 9.5” high and approximately 4.5” wide. The little girl is approximately .5” wider. They are in excellent preowned condition. Please let me know if you have any questions. See less
