Magnificent vintage Hawaii International Film Festival movie poster on a large-scale Rustic wood mount. A former Miss Universe, A Tropical Island Paradise, and a gathering of some of the most prominent actors, directors, producers, dancers, singers, and behind-the-scenes craftspeople among us in the world… Sounds like quite the Festival!! It certainly was! And now, you can have a piece of that nostalgic evening of your very own!! This incredible 1998 Hawaii International Film Festival movie poster features a stunning former Miss Universe Brook Lee sitting upon vintage suitcases above a vintage film reel smiling and dreaming under flowing palm leaves into the incredible Hawaiian sunsetting sky. It is framed and mounted upon a reclaimed Rustic wood slat door bearing a vintage Z-Brace back. It has a sensational deliberately distressed finish and at 71”H x 47” W, it is pretty Large Scale! We have found no signature on this fabulous piece however, we obtained it from a woman that told us an interesting fact that her father bought it in Santa Barbara, but he has since passed away and unfortunately left no documentation. HIFF (Hawaiian International Film Festival) was founded in 1981 and the events are still held to date… They don’t try to emulate Cannes or Sundance. A major part of this festival involves panels, seminars, education, and special award presentations. And insiders also discuss stereotyping, ethics, and problems of filmmaking. This particular 1998 two-week celebration featured 108 films, 70 features- from 24 countries, and MUCH more!! This night was FULL of awards, prizes, notifications, acknowledgements, beautiful décor, handsome men, gorgeous women, and it was all held on a breath-taking Island Paradise. You can bring a piece of that Promised Land right into your own home! Wouldn’t this look incredible in an entertainment, game, or theater room? We certainly think so!! So, it’s time! Pour some bubbly, pop the popcorn, and lean back in that comfy chair… Take Action… Roll the film… and make it YOURS!!
