Acquired from a private collection in Hyde Park, OH (Cincinnati), this is a vintage cast bronze (lost wax method) after the famed Romanian Art Deco era sculptor Demetre Chiparus (Paris 1886-1947) who lived and worked in Paris, France. The bronze sits on a marble base. it is signed and foundry marked as shown in the photos. Great proportions and detail. Dimensions: Apprx. 13.75"H (incl. base); marble base apprx. 3" H, 5"D.
