Classic Thonet style freestanding coat , hat tree, constructed of oak and beech. The stand features four bent wood arms at the top, each having two hooks -one for coats, the other for hats, scarves etc. The base has splayed legs, and a ring to hold umbrellas or canes. This example is in very good, original vintage condition, structurally sound and sturdy, the finish shows some wear, specifically a crocodile like texture to the varnish, common on furniture from this period ( turn of the 20th C ).
