1920s French Art Deco pink glass negligee necklace. Paired bicone beads of molded carved pink & white glass split by narrow millegrain metal discs, with a center pair bisected by a rondele of clear crystals; pink glass bugle beads form a chain between the glass pairs and around the neck, plus two dangles at the center. This design was known as a negligee necklace, to be worn with -- of course -- a deliciously frothy negligee for lounging and such. The carved half-beads are luminescent and glowing; the bugle beads provide a subtle emphasis. Condition is excellent -- no chips, nicks, or scratches; a rarity in pieces of this age (100 years old!).
