A 1981 abstract mixed media painting by the American artist Harry Hilson (1935-2004). This abstract work features a gray gouache background punctuated by biomorphic and geometric shapes outlined in bright orange, red, peach, and blue neon colors. The unframed painting is signed and dated “Hilson 81” to the lower right corner.
Harry Hilson was active from the 1950s-2000. He created a variety of works, including oil paintings, ink drawings, wool tapestries, and more. His studios could be found in New York, Los Angeles, and Aspen.
