Iconic and original yellow opaline Murano glass vase; the vase was blown in one piece without joints; the most difficult and special operation was to leave the yellow opaline inside and make the outside with multiple colors; various colored oxides were applied when the draft of the yellow opaline vase had already left the kiln; at the precise moment when the oxides were beginning to blend and amalgamate with the yellow, the craftsman began the blowing and shaping of the vase into the desired shape, quickly and rapidly, so that the colors would only settle on the surface of the object without penetrating, as if they were brushstrokes, accentuating the blurry effect, then continued to blow turning the vase continuously so that the different colors were distributed like a psychedelic fluid in a harmonious way forming an amazing and magnificent artistic work, then put vase back for a very short time in the kiln and proceeded successively to a quick cooling; an operation that not everyone is able to do, in fact it is delegated only to Master Glassmakers. The vase was made in an artisan kiln in Murano between 1970 and 1975; the artisans, like many others in Murano, were inspired by an iconic vase of Murano production: the "Fazzoletto" model conceived by Fulvio Bianconi, a multifaceted Venetian designer and artist, and produced by Ditta Venini, one of the oldest and most important companies in Murano; this vase, inspired by the movement of women's skirts in the wind, is featured in all the world's exhibitions, publications and many museums around the world. However, whoever the maker of our vase, its making makes it unique in its expertly juxtaposed colors and confirms to us that the Venetian aptitude, celebrated over the centuries, for glassmaking, is an alchemical combination of the material worked out by artisan intelligence with happy artistic intuitions; since ancient times Venetian artisans have been protecting and handing down the Art of Glass, always giving us valuable and unique works of art that fascinate us with their beauty. The vase is in excellent condition, it was made entirely by hand and any "small imperfections" or bubbles are typical of the craftsmanship of glass more valuable than the industrial one. Measures diameter cm.25, height cm.34. less
