The wood carvings … more This incredible settee is all hand carved from the mid 19th century and it is unbelievably beautiful. The wood carvings are intricate and varied as any self respecting Victorian era piece would be.

Cut-outs, medallions, stick and ball and turnings all combine for an over the top ornate look. The wood is fine grained and appears to be chestnut or cherry It is upholstered in a handwoven cotton Ikat fabric in a luscious indigo blue color.
