A magnificent Chinese Export Mandarin Warrior Famille Rose Vase, originating from China around 1860. This stunning porcelain vase has been transformed into a lamp with the addition of gilt metal mounts circa 1925, making it a functional and decorative piece of art.

The vase is adorned with profuse decoration on both sides, featuring applied dragons, pomegranates, lush foliate designs, and intricate garden motifs. One side captures an interior Imperial Chinese court scene, complete with ceremonial flags, attendants, scholars, and warriors, offering a glimpse into ancient Chinese culture. On the reverse side, warriors present themselves to the emperor at the Forbidden City gate, clad in elaborate helmets and standing with shields, some on horseback, all set within a mountainous landscape.

Standing at a height of 25 inches to the top of the socket or 21 inches to the top of the vase, with a generous 10-inch diameter, this exquisite piece is elevated by a gilt 9-inch diameter pointed octagonal base. less
