A 1981 abstract mixed media painting by American artist Harry Hilson (1935-2004). Composed of gouache, graphite, and colored pencil on paper, distinct geometric bird-like shapes are illustrated and outlined in neon colors upon a gray ground in this abstract painting. The painting is signed and dated “Hilson '81” to the lower right corner.
Harry Hilson was active from the 1950s-2000. He created a variety of works, including oil paintings, ink drawings, wool tapestries, and more. His studios could be found in New York, Los Angeles, and Aspen.
