A 1981 abstract mixed media painting by American artist Harry Hilson (1935-2004). Composed of gouache, graphite, and colored pencil on paper, this abstract work depicts distinct geometric and biomorphic shapes and lines illustrated in vibrant neon green, yellow, orange, purple, brown, blue, and peach over a gray ground. The painting is signed and dated “Hilson 81” to the lower right corner.
Harry Hilson was active from the 1950s-2000. He created a variety of works, including oil paintings, ink drawings, wool tapestries, and more. His studios could be found in New York, Los Angeles, and Aspen.
