Here is a wonderful dining table from the later 1970-80's that features a lacquer finish, brass details and glass insert tops. I love the rounded edges of this table and the Springer inspired design elements. It also echos Parsons shape and design. Although here you have legs that are rounded at the front and have more of a triangular shape - they mimic the shape of the brass detail on the table top corners. There is also brass around the leg tops and a thick border around the feet. The lacquer finish is a deep brown with a faint tortoise or wood grain treatment in black or super dark brown. There is a very subtle color variation in the lacquer, so it's not a "flat", single color. It is highly reflective. The table has two beveled glass inserts at the top, which can be removed. I also believe that originally there was a leaf, since you can expand the table by unlatching a hook on the bottom. Unfortunately, the leaf has been lost. If you needed extra space, you could expand the top, add in a support and cover with a table cloth - some work but it's an option. Please note that there are some imperfections in the original finish. The previous owner color matched them, which you can see close up in several photos. There is also patina to the brass.
