A beautiful Japanese Tsuyoshi Celadon Ikebana vase, Kaiji-yaki, with an open 'woven' pattern in the ceramic.
At the top of the rim, a motif of cranes and clouds can be seen.
Dimensions: height 31 cm, diameter 35 cm. Weight: 11 kg.
The vase is stamped and signed at the bottom and comes with the original paulownia wooden storage box and documentation.
This vase was purchased in 1987 at Gallery Noguchi (Nogata City), an art and antique shop that is still active.
Accompanying the vase is a letter stating that the giver's mother turned 90 years old, but due to health issues, a large celebration could not be held. Therefore, this vase was given as a gift.
