An early 20th century, French Limoges porcelain bowl with a hand painted exterior design in an art nouveau floral pattern in a muted mustard yellow, gold, and ivory colors on a white, porcelain background. Bowl was produced by the company, Tressemanes & Vogt (T & V) in the Limoges region of France. T & V were known to create high quality wares to export to the American market.
Porcelain pieces were exported to the American market for women to hand paint and detail at home. This piece is signed by the artist(s) on the base.
The design hand painted on this piece is quintessential Art Nouveau.
Very good, antique condition with light signs of wear to painted exterior and gold detailing, light signs of wear to interior, one light area of wear to the exterior in the white porcelain area along with a "dimple" like area from time or production. The wear to the surface decoration does not detract from the overall appearance of the piece.
Exact date of production unknown. Circa 1905.
