Royal Worchester is considered one of the finest of English Bone China. It received its Royal Warrant in 1789 and celebrated its 250-year anniversary in 2001. This pattern was created to allow the maker to color the oval decoration ring in various colors. Here this patter is from the turquoise decoration style on creamy white ground and an intricate border design.
The Crown on Circle stamp with the letter "N ", below it, indicates that the platter was made in 1878. (See, Royal Worchester Patterns at, museumofroyalworchester.org).
