The chairs are made by Yoruba tribes, who inhabit the Western coast of African continent, between Nigeria and Ivory Coast. Chairs feature human figures engaged in rural tasks - fishing and harvest. Estimated to be made end of 19th century. The chairs consist of two pieces - sit comes out and goes through the backrest, forming firm and stable chair. less
