Stunning teakwood Sideboard and/or Vanity Dresser manufactured by La Permanente Mobili Cantù in the 1950s.
Its aesthetic uniqueness is given by the original soft sculptural shape design of the structure and its lateral tapered legs finished with adjustable brass feet.
Overall, the structure is very solid and stable on the floor and is equipped, on the right side, with a large chest of drawers and on the left by a single drawer, both topped by a beautiful shelf made of white Carrara marble.
In addition, on the right is present an open compartment solidly fixed to the backrest, while the single drawer on the left is surmounted by a mirror finely decorated with a perimetral brass edge, also equipped with brass-plated feet which, grafted across the backrest, rest on the marble top at the front resulting solidly fixed in its position.
The Vanity Dresser is made of teakwood and has been polished with shellac recently and it’s truly in very good condition of the period as the images show, now ready to use. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
issues arising from misattribution
