Walnut brambles are flamed because they have many aesthetic designs. These drawings have complex, highly contrasting patterns and intricate veins on a naturally dark background of varying intensities.
This secretary placed in an office or occupying an angle of the living room is a private place reserved for writing, correspondence, storage of letters, documents. All these more or less valuable papers are thus safe from prying eyes. The main function of this piece of furniture is therefore well fulfilled: to keep to secrecy.
The secretary has four drawers, one with « à doucine » concealed in the upper part of the cabinet and a panel in the middle. This part opens horizontally with a flap. The panel when opened serves as a table on which it is possible to write. The panel in question is covered with leather.
The flap once opened reveals a theater composed of seven small drawers on one hand and two small secret drawers on each side on the other. These are a priori impossible to open but an ingenious system hidden in a piece of furniture frees a spring and then allows the opening. You might find it!
All drawers are dovetailed ensuring perfect strength. The drawers can be opened daily and hold many sometimes heavy objects. They slide perfectly.
The discrete entrances do not protrude from the surface. They are brass and are called “wire entrances”. The key is used to close all drawers.
The top of the secretary is solid walnut. The edge of the tray is finished with a molding called a «pair of buttocks».
The back of the secretary has solid wood panels so very resistant.
The secretary is perfectly stable. It rests on low legs that respect the shape of the furniture at the front and are called «pieds pistolet» and two straight feet at the back.
This piece of furniture will attract attention by the quality of the wood, the softness of its lines. It will bring warmth, relaxation and well-being to your interior. Its creator invites to understand, to forge an intimate and unique relationship.
This piece of furniture passed from generation to generation enriches its history by settling in your interior. In turn, you will bring your life story puzzle piece. You will highlight it by playing with its lines. You will have your favorite items on its tray.
It is a piece of furniture of character.
The interior of the furniture has been cleaned so that the objects are stored in a very healthy and odorless environment. less
