This piece is an oil on canvas by Portuguese artist, Eduardo Rosa Mendes (1906-1983).


The painting depicts boats in a harbor.


It is signed in the lower right hand corner.


This painting comes in its original wooden frame.


The painting is in great shape and has been well cared for.


The reverse has the original gallery tag with signatures, as well as a biography about the artist.


There is one area in the lower left corner where the frame matting has become ever so slightly loose. There’s also a moisture stain on the protective paper on the reverse. It is the result of window cleaner from a window above where the painting once hung. The painting and frame however were not affected by this.


The frame measures about 30 x 21 inches


The painting measures about 23.75 x 14.5 inches less
