An impressive antique Arabesque furniture suite including a pair of armchairs and sofa.
The sofa and chairs in the Moorish style and most likely made in Syria or another country in the Levant, in the late 19th to early 20th century.
The sofa having carved Arabesque panels on all sides, the sofa also with calligraphic ebonized panel incised with Arabic proverbs. Arched "windows" to the back rest accented by bone, mother of pearl and ebonized features.
Sofa Measures: 47.5" h (back), 26.25" h (arms), 18" h (seat), 60" w, 23" d.
The armchairs also with matching panels and inlaid with identical materials. One armchair has round finials to match the outer finials on sofa and the other with spiked to match the interior finials on sofa.
Chairs Measure: 42.5" (back), 26.25" h (arms), 18" h (seat), 22.25" w, 18" d.
