Troemner's … more Elegantly decorated black cast iron apothecary scale made by the Henry Troemner (1809-1973) Company of Philadelphia & New York. Troemner's scales set the standards for precision and accuracy. He was commissioned by the U.S. Mint in Philadelphia to make their scales, performing so well that he was subsequently asked to make the bullion balances for the Department of the Treasury and in addition, the Mexican Mint, New York Assay Office and the San Francisco Mint. Perfect for Dark Academia, Cabinets of Curiosities and collections of antique scientific instruments.
