I believe the wood is mahagony and it is solid- not veneer over particle- and has a warm vintage tone that especially comes alive in natural light. The underside of the mirror is dated 1965, and I believe the table was made at the same time or before. It's a great piece that is sturdy yet lightweight and easy to move around.
