Beautiful silk printed material upholsters front and back of the chair with silk braid trim. Included is a gout chair, meant to raise legs to lessen the pain of gout - at the time. Functions like an ottoman. Not only is this a functional sturdy chair, it is a time capsule and center of conversation. Chair can be used upright and without wooden ottoman or used as a relaxing chair or a complete reclining chair with wooden gout stool to raise the feet.
