This elegant set features six sterling silver cup holders and matching saucers, paired with cobalt blue Lenox porcelain liners adorned with a gold encrusted rim. The saucers are engraved with the monogram "BHD" and both the cup holders and saucers are stamped "STERLING" and pattern number "4797." Additionally, the saucers are marked "Bailey, Banks & Biddle Co," one of the most prestigious American luxury retailers of the time.
The set is in excellent vintage condition, free of chips or cracks. While there is some tarnish, a light polishing should restore the shine. The saucers do have a few small dings, dents, and surface scratches, which are consistent with age and gentle use.
Porcelain cups: 2" rim diameter x 2" height, 2 fluid oz capacity
Sterling cup holders: 1-3/4" rim diameter x 1-3/4" height
Sterling saucers: 3-3/8" diameter
