The back is designed with a gold gryphon crest on black leather backing secured by nailheads. Each arms and side rails are ornate carved wood. I believe it is a Griffin era chair. Early to Mid 1800s. The seat of the chair is also a black leather round. This is a truly a beautiful rocking chair that can serve as an art piece in any room. less
